Robin Lord Smith has worked as a patient advocate since her HCV diagnosis and cure 18 years ago. In her role as NVHR Patient Advisor, she helps engage and develop the community of hepatitis C advocates with lived experience. Additionally, Robin is Vice President of Hepatitis C Association (HCA), where she has provided hep C education to patients at SUD treatment programs for 16 years. She is the Operations Manager and a Peer Support Counselor for HCA’s HELP-4-HEP, the national hepatitis C peer support helpline. Robin is a founding member of the Maryland Hepatitis Coalition. She recently moved to Floyd, Virginia, where she is involved in the newly formed Southwest Virginia Hepatitis Coalition.
