Congress is beginning to debate Fiscal Year 2022 appropriations and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Division of Viral Hepatitis is severely underfunded. The CDC Division of Viral Hepatitis needs at least $134 million to strengthen the public health infrastructure to combat viral hepatitis and improve testing and treatment. In addition, the Infectious Diseases and Opioid Epidemic Program needs at least $120 million to fully treat opioid-related infectious disease outbreaks, including hepatitis C.

Congresswoman Grace Meng and Congressman Hank Johnson are leading the charge in Congress to increase viral hepatitis funding, but they need your help.

Email your Representatives today, urging them to join their colleagues and support increased funding to combat viral hepatitis.
