As the U.S. endures another wave of COVID-19 infections and surpasses 400,000 coronavirus deaths, the pandemic continues to have an outsize impact on the health of our already vulnerable citizens with certain medical conditions, including patients with liver disease.

HR 173, the COVID-19 Prevention and Awareness Act (CPAA), would afford Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s) and Community Based Non-Profits grants to bolster their efforts towards medically vulnerable populations amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, the CPAA would authorize $2.12 billion to expand and support wellness communications and direct services carried out by FQHC’s and Non-Profits that protect individuals with underlying medical conditions from contracting COVID-19.

Email your Member of Congress today and urge them to support medically vulnerable populations by passing HR 173.
