NVHR Comments on Medicaid Regulations
On February 21, 2013, NVHR submitted public comments in response to draft federal regulations on Medicaid expansion through the Affordable Care Act. Our comments focused on the need for access to comprehensive viral hepatitis treatment as part the Medicaid Essential Health Benefits package, the need for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s hepatitis B and C testing recommendations to be included as preventive services, and the negative impact of high cost-sharing on people with viral hepatitis who have expensive treatment regimens.
