CDC Division of Viral Hepatitis Online Training Grantees Meeting Description: Please join the University of Washington (HepWebStudy.org) and the University of Alabama, Birmingham (KnowHepatitis.org) on Friday, June 10th at 3 PM ET (12 PM PT) to learn more about the viral hepatitis training resources they have currently available and what they are planning for the future. UW and UAB are the two training projects through CDC’s Division of Viral Hepatitis. He has worked for sixteen years in positions as a public health practitioner, researcher, and manager. His more recent employment has been as Director of Maternal and Child Health program with the US Peace Corps in Nicaragua and as a Community Environmental Health Advisor with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He has worked extensively in public health programming, training, and evaluation with Latino populations domestically, along the US/Mexico border, and in Latin America. He is currently pursuing a DrPH in health care organization and policy with a concentration in maternal and child health. Nina Kim, MD Nina Kim, MD is an Assistant professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Washington. She is a Co-Editor of Hepatitis Webstudy - an online case-based tutorial funded by CDC VNET that focuses on the clinical aspects of viral hepatitis where she edits and writes cases. She sees patients and teaches at the Harborview Medical Center Hepatitis & Liver Clinic in Seattle and serves as faculty for the Seattle STD & HIV Prevention Training Center. She has also published on hepatitis B vaccination and hepatitis B and C natural history in HIV-infected patients.
