A one day summit that will bring together 250 – 300 professionals from correctional systems, judicial systems, public health departments, social service departments, mental health departments, hospitals, clinics, etc. Through interactive breakout sessions participants will share their voices, expertise and leadership as together we explore the education, economics, access, and opportunities of health care reform, the correctional health system, California’s realignment, and innovative strategies in care management, treatment, and social services for HCV infected young women of color and HCV infected ex-offenders.

The day after the Summit, ALF will conduct train the trainer to Central Valley health care professionals enabling the delivery of Hep C programs throughout Central Valley

In addition to increased delivery of Hep C education programs – Phase 2 and 3 will involve building and delivering a curriculum to train doctors in Hep C management and treatment and creating the necessary incentives and infrastructure to ensure that once trained the doctors will actually take in patients.
